Technique: Salted Background

This is a long card using the Salted Background and Lovely as a Tree.
Create your background by using a brayer and the color of your choice on glossy card stock. When it is a solid color, sprinkle table salt or sea salt all over the the card stock. Don't make it solid but more a random sprinkle. It is ok to get it heavier in some places but not solid salt. Spritz the entire area with water and let it dry naturally. The salt leaves splotches where it dried which is the effect you are looking for. When it is completely dry, brush off the dry salt and stamp your image, in this instance I used Lovely as a Tree.
